2 Crafty Critter Crazies with A Day for Daisies digital stamps

Hi, everyone! I hope you are enjoying the summer weather and that all is well. Today I have a freebie sentiment for you, and an idea for how to change your digital images.
I also have a special BOO BOO edition today!
(giggle)

It's time for a new Challenge at Two Crafty Critter Crazies
where we love to celebrate any project with a critter on it! Critters include mythical creatures, animal toys and everything alive (except humans and flora)!

Our very generous sponsor this month is:
A Day For Daisies Digital Stamps.
She has such a unique style and wonderful characters.
My card features the delightful "Happy Love Day" Bunny

For my project, I cropped the balloons off the bunny, flipped her vertically, and made a bunny conversation with one bunny handing her friend sweet birthday balloons!

To make the frame, SB Lovin' Diamonds die set was cut 4 times, with only the top layer being embossed and colored:

At this point, I still had not noticed that all the hearts in the background were facing a single direction. It had also not occurred to me that the interior heart frame was not symmetrical.

I then die cut the bunny panel - notice that I did not have the hearts in the background facing the correct direction:

After the bunnies were cut, they were inked and adhered to the center of the card - still not noticing that the hearts are facing a different direction and that the interior hearts are not symmetrical:

It was time to adhere the frame to the card.
It was THEN that I noticed my BLUNDER!
BOO BOO TIME!
In order for the interior hearts to line up with the incorrectly cut bunny panel, the hearts would have had to be adhered SIDEWAYS (as shown below). Too bad the bunnies were already ruggedly adhered. A 45 degree angle shift would have fixed the problem. Sooooooo.....

I just let the interior panel be off center, and NOT lined up!
What's a girl to do?
(see the white spaces around the interior panel?)

Still, it was fun glittering die cuts, adding flowers, and even a little dragonfly, to make things sweet. And now you know, some blunders simply cannot be hidden!

What a stunning colour palette Donna, your card is a sheer delight and that harlequin die is something I definitely need, it sets off your whole card beautifully.

You mention Summer, well it's been slow arriving here in the UK and after more than 7" of rain in June and days not much warmer than 18deg at best, Saturday was a scorcher reaching 34deg, then yesterday and today back down to cold winds and temps and cardigans needed - only in the UK can you get such contrasts - until you read about Mexico Cities weather yesterday. The World's climate has gone mad.

This is so sweet and pretty Donna, love how you've doubled up the bunnies. The harlequin die is a stunner and your palette is lovely. No one would have noticed if you hadn't pointed out the boo boos...they don't detract at all from the charm of this beautiful card.

I actually think that the white shadow adds to the depth of the card - so no boo boo here! This is so cute and I love how you changed the direction of the bunny to make her the receiver of the sweet balloons! So clever, Miss Donna!

Hi Donna, Well I wouldn't have thought of the white areas as being mistakes. I think they actually lift the colours.

Thanks for the freebie.

Hope you are having a good start to July and the week. Sue

And I've been right where you were - what to do but PUNT~! To Plan B....X,Y,Z heehee. Seriously it is a gorgeous card, thank you for the freebie and the tip, too! Happy July! xoxo

Donna, you're as good at fixing boo boos as you are at making beautiful cards! Believe me, I wouldn't notice the asymmetry of the inner part, either, but I like the way it turned out. That's a gorgeous frame and, oh my, how intricately you inked up the design. Such a darling image, made even cuter by your clever manipulations. Really gorgeous embellishments and colors. Who wouldn't love receiving these bunnies for their birthday? Wow! Oh, and thank you for the digi sentiment gift!

Donna this card is amazing! I love the bunny couple and the way you colored them! The lavender color is so pretty and that die frame is gorgeous! One would never know there was a boo boo on this beautiful card! Love your card!!

I looked at your card before reading and I thought oh wow look at the dimension she got around the framing of the bunnies, I wonder how she did that, and then started reading and realized that was your boo boo, but as far as I can see I think it made for a very cool look to it, the bunnies are too cute and love the shading you have done on them and on the diamonds to the framing. Your flowers, leaves and dragonfly are just stunning way to top off your card!
