My blog is called "Creative Smiles" because my designs are the result of incorporating mistakes. With fumble fingers that drop whatever they are holding - repeatedly, it takes a lot of giggles, smiles and creative patience during my crafting process. xx

Easter {Sparkle N Sprinkle}

Welcome newest followers Frea KoningsSarah, and Kristi, and to all my sweet blogging friends. Here in central Florida, we are enjoying a splendidly gusty April day with winds from the southeast. My poor snap dragons and petunias are taking a beating!

Today's card share is from a cute Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set.

Some of the images are available digitally.
The rest are on the Celebrate Life Rubber Stamp Set.

matching cut file

A long-forgotten Spellbinders set (Fancy Tags One) was used for the sentiment, which was then distressed with distress ink and Opaline Cosmic embossing powder.

Beautiful on its own, the Spellbinders Elegant Labels Four was smooshed with VersaMark and embossed with more Opaline Cosmic embossing powder. The effect is a pearly, slightly opalescent appearance. I so wish the photography would have picked that up, instead of the over-kill around the colored sky, which was distressed with a VersaMarker and more Opaline Cosmic embossing powder. The camera has picked up the darkness rather than the opalescent quality. NOT FAIR!

Maybe you can see it a little better here?
(that silvery appearing stuff is actually a creamy iridescence.)

The outside frame is adhered with white dimensionals.
The interior mat is adhered with glue.
The bunny panel has double dimensional adhesive to pop it up a bit higher.

Love those tee-tiny white rose buds from Lavish Laces
Her products are so sweet and reasonably priced.

Sweet little card - and the dies actually made it very easy.
Smooshing VersaMark for EP is not very difficult, either! (giggle)

Fun to make, the image was colored with copics, and a little Daisy Velvet Glitter on the flowers, butterfly and the big carnation.

Ragamuffin Bestie Celebrating St. Patrick's Day!

Please sign up for
My Fabulous March Blog Candy!

Top o' the Mornin', me dear lads and lassies
LOL - corny I know.

for those using the translate button:
That's Irish for "Good Morning, dear blogging friends!"

A special welcome to new followers:
Beatrice, Tina Teasdale, Steff, Chrissy

Hi! Is this adorable little Ragamuffin Bestie celebrating St. Patrick's Day or is she performing in a circus on a flying trapeze?

Maybe both?

Today she is swinging in an easel card.

Or MAYBE her "normal self" is to dress up and swing in the front yard!

TIP:
There is a lot of extra confetti around this little darling. I cropped part of Sherri Baldy's image (the little squiggly frills) and then pasted them all over the image and even in my sentiment below!

Playing with the My Besties images is enjoyable:
It allows the little girl in me to come out and not be inhibited about how
            gaudy,
                or frilly,
                     or silly,
                          or wonderful
                                my card can be.

AND AND AND I am reminded to be "My own Bestie"
             and
to even DO my own best, without being concerned
if it is "good enough" for anyone else. (Thank you, Sherri!)

MORE CONFETTI! -- The glittery line around the designer paper is actually Swan Wing Glitter Tinsel

Because the tinsel still has lots of space between each piece of tinsel, I "mooshed" in some Luau Green Velvet Glitter. It changed the color from clear white to an iridescent two-glitter look!

The greeting is actually a freebie "coloring book page" found by googling "St. Patrick's Day Words Color Book Page".

It's very tiny now! LOL

The oval behind it is also covered with Luau Green Velvet Glitter.

Don't forget to Sign up for My Fabulous March Blog Candy! It is a gift certificate!

A little something from my front door -
we have NEVER had petunias grow during the winter,
they can't stand the cold weather.
BUT THIS YEAR:

The sun was too bright yesterday.
It reflected off the white petunias.

So I took photos on either side.

I now know that petunais cannot handle hot weather at all, and enjoy above freezing temperatures, but definitely below 70F.

During our freezes, the begonias and petunias were covered with old tee-shirts and covered again with layers of sheets.

the other side is below.

This winter we pulled out all the landscaping in the front yard, and replanted (I'll bore you with some photos another time).

Happy St. Patrick's Day a few days early!

hugs,

Messy Bessy Falls In Love ~ My Besties ~

My January Blog Candy is located here
(You do not have to be a follower to become eligible)

Welcome new follower Natasha, and all my blogging buddies!

SNS Bingo is gobbling up all my time the past month, and I apologize for not visiting your delightful blogs since the game began.

I did manage to create a Friendship card
WITH EACH OF YOU IN MIND
with this darling new

from Sherri Blady's line of My Besties.

Here is the little darling in her uncolored format:
Messy Bessy Falls in Love
Sherri drew these wonderful little hearts on strings. I cropped a few and placed them on the bottom in the grass, because this love-struck little charmer sees love everywhere!

The little "stringed heart" was cropped from the main image and placed in my computer-generated sentiment, to carry the theme throughout the card.

Also in use is one of Sherri's newest dies called Romantic Hearts Frame. I cut the frame diagonally to produce a "messy" appearance to work with little Messy Bessy.

This month the theme at Path of Positivity Challenge is GENEROSITY. (In case you've not heard of PoP, it's a wonderful challenge blog comprised of "positive" thoughts - regardless of personal belief.)

In the past 2 years, I've learned a lot about Generosity from my blogging friends, in particular.

My take on Generosity is not sentimental, and not so much "material" as it is something which transforms us from within.

Generosity is something which comes from the Heart,
without any hidden agenda or motivation other than
to be all we can be,
and to share our being-ness with others
in order to bring a Love In Action to the world,

beginning in our own communities,
      our own families,
            our own dear little hearts.

Bursting with that UNsentimental Love, we become Generous of Heart --

   patient,
       tolerant,
            kind,
                 productive,
                      efficient in what matters most.

Messy Bessy is dripping with heartfelt Generosity.
She hugs her new-found Love close at heart, and allows that love to overflow all around her!

Image is colored with Copics
