My blog is called "Creative Smiles" because my designs are the result of incorporating mistakes. With fumble fingers that drop whatever they are holding - repeatedly, it takes a lot of giggles, smiles and creative patience during my crafting process. xx

Happiness is living in a Shoe

Greetings! So hard to believe it is already mid-April, and yet, that it is "only" April with these hot temperatures!
Today's cards are traditionally colored with Tombow markers and pastel squares. The images are gold-embossed. Oldie but goodie techniques. The Shoe Cottage is being retired by Sparkle N Sprinkle and is currently available 1/2 off, while supplies last.

Most of the cards were designed using Cards N Things Sketch #115:

One thing I experimented with was sewing on cards. These are my first attempts on a new machine, and I learned a lot! It was fun layering cardstock, designer papers, lace, punched pieces and tule fabric, and deliberately making crazy designs or multiple lines. DEFINITELY easy.

Also used were:
Spellbinders Grand Labels One,
Spellbinders Rose Creations,
Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish,
assorted K and C designer papers,
Martha Stewart punches
ribbons/fabrics from Joann's.

Cards were submitted to the following Challenges:
Anything Goes Craft Challenge Blog - #64 Anything Goes
Cards N Things - Sketch #115
Celebrate the Occasion - #58 Use Pink
Crafty Sentiments - Spring Pastel Challenge
Die Cuttin' Divas - #60 Pastels plus die cuts
Scrap-Creations - April 10 Spring Challenge

Thanks for stopping by!
