My blog is called "Creative Smiles" because my designs are the result of incorporating mistakes. With fumble fingers that drop whatever they are holding - repeatedly, it takes a lot of giggles, smiles and creative patience during my crafting process. xx

Deviled Easter Eggs :-)

What does your family do with all those hard boiled eggs after Easter?

My family has a fun solution which gets the kids in on the action - a valuable contribution to those Easter Dinners, too!

Without Paprika:

For the recipe to make these fun deviled eggs, visit our Family Recipes here. Any time a little creative colors are wanted, these are fun to make - whether it is for team sports, holidays, or just because!

Happy Easter hugs to you, my dear blogging friends.

Easter {Sparkle N Sprinkle}

Welcome newest followers Frea KoningsSarah, and Kristi, and to all my sweet blogging friends. Here in central Florida, we are enjoying a splendidly gusty April day with winds from the southeast. My poor snap dragons and petunias are taking a beating!

Today's card share is from a cute Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set.

Some of the images are available digitally.
The rest are on the Celebrate Life Rubber Stamp Set.

matching cut file

A long-forgotten Spellbinders set (Fancy Tags One) was used for the sentiment, which was then distressed with distress ink and Opaline Cosmic embossing powder.

Beautiful on its own, the Spellbinders Elegant Labels Four was smooshed with VersaMark and embossed with more Opaline Cosmic embossing powder. The effect is a pearly, slightly opalescent appearance. I so wish the photography would have picked that up, instead of the over-kill around the colored sky, which was distressed with a VersaMarker and more Opaline Cosmic embossing powder. The camera has picked up the darkness rather than the opalescent quality. NOT FAIR!

Maybe you can see it a little better here?
(that silvery appearing stuff is actually a creamy iridescence.)

The outside frame is adhered with white dimensionals.
The interior mat is adhered with glue.
The bunny panel has double dimensional adhesive to pop it up a bit higher.

Love those tee-tiny white rose buds from Lavish Laces
Her products are so sweet and reasonably priced.

Sweet little card - and the dies actually made it very easy.
Smooshing VersaMark for EP is not very difficult, either! (giggle)

Fun to make, the image was colored with copics, and a little Daisy Velvet Glitter on the flowers, butterfly and the big carnation.

Little Miss I-Love-Spring {Scrapbook Stamp Society}

Welcome, dear blogging friends, and new followers Pam, Kim, Gina, Mary Mac.

Today's post is bittersweet - it is my final post as "permanent guest designer" at the Scrapbook Stamp Society where My Besties rule. I've enjoyed the privilege of posting on the SSS blog for over a year, and will miss working with DTC Sher and all the amazing artists on the team, but there are just not enough hours in the day... you know how it goes.

So on to this little cutie

She is in Love with Spring!

Spring has sprung
and
Little Miss I-Love-Spring
has Spring Fever,

hence all the loving hearts growing just for her!

Do you have Spring Fever?

A little bling is just below the scalloped edge (Frosted Carmen Glitter and Heart Bling).

Little Miss I-Love-Spring (IMG205) is colored with Copic Markers.

This week's challenge at "As You Like It" is all about stitching (faux or real).
Sewing on cards is about the only sewing I do (smile).
It's fun and easy and provides great texture.
I can never decide whether I prefer straight stitching or zig-zag so in this case, both styles were used on three panels. Do you have a favorite style?

MFT "Love" die cut is covered with Sparkle N Sprinkle's Princess Rose sparkly cosmic EP. It covers so completely with one coat you'd never know it was applied to white cardstock.

Little Miss I-Love-Spring is embellished with SNS Bubble Gum glitter, as are the flowers.

I love coloring these little My Besties images - brings out the little girl in me (as if I need help).

Thank you for visiting my blog today!
