Anything Goes at Jan's Digi Stamps #2

A Hearty Welcome to my Blogging Buddies!
Thanks for visiting today - I am sharing some Christmas cards.

It's time for another ANYTHING GOES Challenge at Jan's Digi Stamps!

Facebook - Shopping - Pinterest - Challenges
My card features the pre-colored version of Santa's List #3186. It's a fantastic image for making either colored or sepia toned Vintage cards:

Anyone who knows me realizes that I have difficulty making A2 size cards but here are two quickie creations in that size using the pre-colored images:

For the green stripes, I used the "line" option in my word processor to make wallpaper. The Floor (free clip art on-line) was lightened by using the "opacity" option.

After die cutting the frame, I burnished white microfine glitter in the frame's details:

The red creation is simple with a glittered frame:

Lastly, I have a 5x7 card. On my word processor, I change the color to Sepia then inked the areas with Aged Mahogany Distress ink.

The frame was distressed with Brilliance Gold and the glasses were highlighted with an aqua pencil.

Now for my boo-boo:

Somehow, I crookedly adhered the oval of my Santa inside the frame. It looks like he is in a haunted house - levitating:

Now that I've pointed it out, you can clearly see that Santa is "floating" in the air in an un-level manner. To be honest, my card was nearly completed, and everything had already been glued down.

So I cut out some gold flourishes and positioned them in a way that sorta-kinda hides my huge blunder. You can still see the boo boo because you know about it. But maybe my recipient won't notice it (giggle).
Haunted Santa (laughing)

Hop on over and play with us - who knows?
You might be the winner of the $10 store gift voucher!

The sepia one is my favorite! You're such a guru with those digis! Of course, had you not said anything, I don't think anyone would have noticed your boo boo! They are all fabulous!

Oh, I dearly love each and every one of these, Donna! The work you did on the sepia version is marvelous (love that die you chose for the frame!) and I especially love the golden holly you added. Both of the others are wonderfully framed as well. I'm hoping maybe one of these might visit me for Christmas. :-D

Donna, I SO love these! Each one made me smile - I'm a Christmas junkie :) The 'define good' fits me to a T!!! Thanks for sharing your secrets - wish I had a good program. All I have is basic Microsoft Word. What do you recommend for working with digi images like you've done here? Have a wonderful day, my friend!!!

Such gorgeous cards Donna, they are all framed so lovely. It is so fun to see 3 different cards with one image, really like the sepia one as it is not the usual - no one would of noticed he was slightly crooked if you had not told. Thanks for the link for the floor clip art!

These are all gorgeous. I really liked the red one until I saw the sepia toned one. It looks amazing ( and I didn't notice the boo-boo till you pointed it out. :-).)

Referring to Patti's comment - I do not use any special program. I've never learned to use MS Word for digitals because it seems so complicated. I have an iMac and it comes with Pages as a word processor, and that is what I use to put my digitals together, and even to make the PNG sentiments I share with everyone! xx

Enjoyed seeing the difference frames and background make. Changing to sepia tone gives an antique look. Fun cards. Funny to see your oops card.

Your cards are just fabulous, I love how you added the striped paper and wood floor. I will have to say I think that the Sepia one is my favorite though and I totally couldn't see how it was crooked!

Leslie Miller said...

Your cards are just beautiful, Donna! I think my favorite part of this set is the bag of toys... just 'cause I'm a kid at heart, I guess. I love the sepia tone, too. I laughed out loud at the idea of Santa levitating in a haunted house!!! I did not notice it at all because your fix is so clever!

These are wonderful Donna and the levitating Santa would surely go unnoticed by an untrained eye!! xx

Beautiful cards with that wonderful Santa. And, if you had not pointed out the boo boo I would not have noticed. I am always getting things out of line so it might seem natural to me. LOL

Sigh...these are ALL very stunning and so elegant looking Donna!! I love how you've framed them all in and each one has it's own unique qualities about it which I truly admire in your designs! To be honest, if you hadn't had said Santa was crooked I wouldn't have ever known, but I chuckled at your floating comment! :) Seriously all are gorgeous!! Have a lovely week my friend!

Vicki, Not everyone can have a floating, levitating Santa in a Haunted Room! LOL
