Having just completed her fairy laundry, Freya's fairy dust is everywhere!
because...everyone KNOWS fairies don't get dirty...
they shed fairy dust instead!
I've had a few questions about how to create a scene. It really is simple and fun with Lavinia stamps (especially with one of their backgrounds).
The first thing I do is choose (or make) a background.
Then set the stamps on the background, moving them around:
Now the background appears to be Spring or Summer rather than Winter or Fall:
Freya's House was stamped with Fantasia Purple VFC onto a dull purple cardstock, and heat set with clear EP. Colored with a finger dauber and Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink, I also used a pale blue and pale lavender Prismacolor pencil for highlights on the house. Freya has liberally left behind her famous fairy dust - even her clean clothes are full of fairy dust!
NOTE: in my house, all our clothes are somewhat covered in fairy dust.

Carefully cultivated mushrooms grace Freya's yard. More of the black EP with glitter (I mean, Fairy Dust) coats the ground). Can you see the different textures between the black and blue EPs?

Wow Donna! This is awesome! Chock full of glittery goodness! Loving the subtle difference between the blue and the black glitters (or should I say fairy dust!). I love this imaginative fairy scene that you have created - that little fairy clothesline is just precious!

What an enchanting little scene Donna, love your little fairy clothes line set amongst the beautiful glittering trees, and what a clever way to transform them using that tiny leaf stamp (love the tiny Lavinia stamps they're so versatile!). This card is truly magical!

This is such a dreamy and magical design my dear! You've really done such an amazing job creating these magical fairy scenes and I really appreciate the steps you've shared with us in how you've put it together! Beautiful and well designed card design with the cute fairy images. I love the wonderful colors of the background and that is the cutest clothes line of laundry I have seen in a long time. This is such a magical scene.

I believe fairies come into my stamp room at night and sprinkle their sparkly dust around. Or maybe that's elves getting into the glitter. How did I miss this incredible creation? I love your color combo and the sparkle in the grass and trees! Cute little laundry line and the mushrooms just shout "fairies" even without a single one in sight. Fabulous sentiment, so perfect for this scene.
