My blog is called "Creative Smiles" because my designs are the result of incorporating mistakes. With fumble fingers that drop whatever they are holding - repeatedly, it takes a lot of giggles, smiles and creative patience during my crafting process. xx

Looking in all the Right Places?

Greetings! And Big Hugs to you each! It took me a month to create these cards, but slowly, if I am persistent, in one-to-five minute increments, I do manage to accomplish things around the house and in my craft room. Hopefully better days are around the corner. Thanks for your kind friendships, endearing thoughts, and for keeping in touch.

Today's cards are silly, inspired first by my husband for our 46th wedding anniversary last month. The other four are "thinking of you" and "birthday" cards.

Colored simply with Copic Markers and Distress Inks, each card was stamped in a different color VersaFine Clair ink and heat embossed with clear detail EP. All the cards contain the same elements, except the sentiments differ:

Purple Lovers "Thinking of You" (inside "Enough about me - thinking of you and wondering what you have been up to." The front sentiment always makes me laugh:

The Penny Black border actually only cuts on one side. The stitched side needed to be hand cut:

Blue & Tan Birthday card for Color Hues Color Challenge:

Jacky's Anniversary card - he's been such a marvelous person, friend, hubby, lover and caregiver over the decades. Yes, the inside is mushy (giggle):

Green Thinking of You with a different front sentiment. Each card was dry embossed with the same striped folder. This card and the purple one were also inked:

Lastly, the pink birthday card:

Thank you for not giving up on me, and for visiting today! I miss you all!

Hi Donna, how wonderful to see a post from you- and what a post! Just love these gorgeous cards, fabulous design- in all the colours. That stamp is adorable and the sentiments perfect- such fun! Had to have a look at the stamp website as I've never seen them before- sadly don't seem to be available in the UK.
So pleased that you're managing to get things done, you determined lady! - just take it one step at a time and be kind to yourself.

Your cards are wonderful and I love them in all the colors. Good to hear from you too. I am doing better and am slowly trying to do a few cards with limited supplies. My room is small so it is hard to bring many things to make them with.

Wow, Donna, your colouring is amazing! Such perseverance to keep working at these cards, and well worth it! Each one is gorgeous and I like the different colourways and variety of sentiments you used. It takes me a long time to make cards too, not as long as you, but over several days or sometimes a bit longer. Your details and die-cuts are gorgeous too - really wonderful cards! On a side note, we've had a bear in our green cart, several tmes last year and once this year. He seems to sniff out pizza! Wishing you good health, good vibes, and positive thoughts, my friend! Sending hugs as well!
