My blog is called "Creative Smiles" because my designs are the result of incorporating mistakes. With fumble fingers that drop whatever they are holding - repeatedly, it takes a lot of giggles, smiles and creative patience during my crafting process. xx

Kissing Frogs {Crafts Galore Encore}

Hello, dear crafting friends!
Welcome to the second challenge of 2016 at Crafts Galore Encore Challenges!

The Rules to the Challenge are so easy!
Just create your project (using any crafting medium) according to this month's theme with up to 3 entries, and link your blog posts directly to the linky on the CGE Challenge site! That's it!
Three adorable images are the prize!
This month's challenge theme is easy-peasy -
"Anything Goes Using a Digi or Stamp".

Our Sponsor this month is:
Sherri Baldy "Besties" Digit Stamps
I absolutely could not stop the little girl in me!

     My card became girl-i-er...

          and girl-i-er...   and girl-i-er...

no matter how many times I tried to stop! Yikes!

Products Used:

Big Eyed Girl - Sherri Baldy "Besties" Digit Stamps
All the dies are from Scrapy Land,
Glitter is from Sparkle N Sprinkle,
Pretty flowers (etc) are from Lavish Laces (Etsy),

This little "Kisser of Frogs" was so fun to color! It was only natural to glitter-fy her!
Glitter on her dress,
Glitter on the edges of circle,
Glitter on the leaves,
Glitter on the flowers
Lastly,
glitter on our unsuspecting German Shepherd!

Computer-generated sentiment because...

Life becomes full of Love when we fully embrace it -
-all of it -
even the hard times!

Next, I made a flat 6" x 6" card for mailing purposes.
Not my normal color choices,
it is in ultra neon bright colors, but still in pink and green.

Only her petticoats are glittered! She looks electric!
Distressed edges are sewn with three layers of stitching.

Now it's your turn to play!

Products Used:
  • Image: My Besties IMG308
  • Sentiment: computer generated
  • Sue Wilson Dies: Italian Decorative Frames Circles, Italian Corner Border Tag, Dandelion Clocks
  • Spellbinders: (1st card) Grand Big Scallop Circles, Grand Labels 23 (frame), Petite Scallop Long Rectangles, Long Rectangles, Grand Circles (2nd card) Diamondessence, Grand Stately Circles

These are absolutely stunning Donna. The first one laden with all these gorgeous embellishments and then the neon version! Both beautifully colored and sufficiently decorated with glitters - just a feast for the eyes! Poor doggy - but I guess he's used to it!

I'm glad you didn't stop the girly-ness because your cards are fabulous! I LOVE pink and green and all the sparkle and her ruffled petticoat. I wore petticoats when I was a little girl and the fuller the better. Could never seem to get them full enough. Guess Mom didn't want me to look like a ballerina. Love the second card, too. The layered dies remind me of her petticoat. I'm totally good with the bright colors. As for the glitter getting everywhere, I absolutely cracked up when I came to the photo of your sweet doggie!

Donna, my darling friend, these are the sweetest bursts of sunshiny love! The vibrancy is gorgeous and I always adore your use of dies. The Sue Wilson heart is one of my favorites to use and see from others. Your sparkling heart shimmers in all you do.
I also want to let you know that my Blogger presence will continue to be limited due to my sister receiving a heartbreaking diagnosis. My amazing DT leaders have offered any time off needed, although I hope to be back later this week or next. I will be visiting my crafty friends as I can, so please know if I disappear it is solely to take care of my family that continues to get bombarded with unhappy news. Thank you for being such a beautiful friend.. and inspiring me every moment I get to visit your blog. You are always in my prayers and in heart!

Hugs and blessings,
Karen

Same image, same color schemes but how different they look! Love posts like this, so inspirational.
Love the softness and girliness of your first, love that ribbon and all the flowers, and your second card is a real eye catcher with the bold colors and it gets extra points for being flat for postage purpose!
