My blog is called "Creative Smiles" because my designs are the result of incorporating mistakes. With fumble fingers that drop whatever they are holding - repeatedly, it takes a lot of giggles, smiles and creative patience during my crafting process. xx

Today I am sharing Across the Miles Stamp and Travel Mixed Media Stamp Set.

Earth Tone Copic Markers worked really well with this sweet little 1950's image.
The denim blue tones work well that rich NAVY Glitter.

The corner embellishments were created using Desire Fourie's flower tutorial. They add dimension and visual interest.

Old Paper Distress Ink helped define the edges of both the Across the Miles Stamp and the Travel Mixed Media Stamp.

If you are new to blending colors with Copic Markers, Sparkle N Sprinkle has some Basic Copic Marker tips on the Tips and Techniques Page. There are technique tutorials for all the fine SNS products.

The following flat card uses the Sparkle N Sprinkle Watercoloring on Velvet Glitter technique. I wish the sparkle on this card would show up on the photograph!

Again, the corners were created using Desire Fourie's flower tutorial. They have been painted with Brushable Glue and Cloud Nine Velvet (microfine) Glitter to provide dimension without increasing postage expenses.

The Spot Light technique was used on this card. Both the plain image, and the round panel contain the Cloud Nine Velvet (microfine) Glitter
I pulled the color off Lyra Watercolor Crayons with a Dove Blender Pen, and painted directly on the glitter.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you win a prize!

Super creations, Donna. You do such wonderful cards with the glitter. Nice, new images coming out and you're just the one to make perfect cards to show them off.
Nice corners. Desire has some wonderful tutorials, doesn't she?

These are both fabulous, I love your image and map background - such a good idea.
The sparkle on the second card looks wonderful as does the spotlight technique.
In answer to the question you left on my blog, the House-Mouse CD does have images for you to colour but the Gruffies and Happy Hoppers one doesn't, the image on the card that you commented on is a rubber stamp.

Absolutely FABULOUS cards, Donna! I was already in love with the first one with your beautiful coloring and choice of country papers (the leafy flourishes are the PERFECT accents!), but the second one has me open mouthed with the awe of which your lovely creations inspire. I've always admired the painting on velvet technique, but combined with the spotlight technique, this card is STUNNING in its creativity, especially since you only colored the "spotlighted" portion. Genius! Thanks so much for sharing! I've been away from your blog far too long and look forward to catching up! Hugs!

Donna, you always do the most amazing and imaginative things with your cards! I just love the shape of the map panel, as well as the darling image and all the sparkle. You wish the sparkle showed up a little better in the photo, but I do see some pretty fabulous sparkle. The navy glitter is outstanding! I would be agog at the sight of this in real life!
