Hello, everyone!
Back in December 2025 (yikes!) I enjoyed a wonderful playdate with my friend Ana. She brought this cute Woodware Gnome Stamp which she had won. Hoping to make some St. Patrick's Day cards for friends, I stamped off a few and got to coloring. Then Life happened, and the cards were not completed until mid April! LOL But I'd still like to share them. No reference to St. Patty's Day, so they COULD be used for other occasions, but they are pretty green! I DO enjoy monochromatic cards, so these were fun to make. First, I colored with Copic Markers:Then a visit to the scrap box was in order for layering. For the first card, I used a couple Martha Stewart edge bunches. I really do miss EK Success and Martha Stewart! After flocking the beard, a heart of gold was glittered up, because after all, it is a person's heart that is so beautiful, not the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Products: Stamps: Woodware Gnome Rainbow set, Dies: Tutti Stitched Rectangles, MS Traditional Scallop Edge, MS Daisy Edge, MS embossable Zig-Zag Edger,Other: White Flocking (beard), Glitter (clear mixed with green for the sky), Gold mixed with green for the rainbow and heart, Inks: DO mowed lawn, Copic Markers, Cardstock - 3 greens, 110lb Neenah Classic Crest CS white, My Favorite Things Cloud stencil.
Next came two cards made with more scraps and Spellbinders Grand Labels Four. A stencil helped create a fun background. To sparkle the clouds up, I applied Art Institutes fine point glue and added clear glitter mixed with pale green. Even the horizontal pieces have been glittered:
(Honk! if you love glitter!) giggle
Products: Dies: SB Labels Four Grands, Tutti Stitched Rectangles, MS Lace Heart Edger, MS embossable Zig-Zag Edger, Other: White Flocking (beard), Glitter (clear mixed with green for the sky), Green, Gold mixed with green for the rainbow and heart, Inks: DO mowed lawn, DI rustic wilderness Copic Markers, Cardstock - Bazzill green, K&Company pattern, 110lb Neenah Classic Crest CS white, My Favorite Things Cloud stencil.
A couple more using the same techniques, but with different scraps, and SB Grand Scallop Ovals:
Products: Dies: Tutti Stitched Rectangles, SB Big Scallop Ovals Grands, Leafy Image Starving Artistamps (2004) stamped with Mowed Lawn DO, MS embossable Zig-Zag Edger, MS Lace Heart Edger, Darice 5x7 dot EF, Green Sequin cardstock, My Favorite Things Cloud stencil.
Thanks for enjoying my 5 cards that took 5 months to put together! LOL Slowly but surely, right? In the meantime, here is the interior sentiment if you would like a digital (click to make full size before saving):

On the Homestead here in Florida:
Like the rest of you, we have been experiencing strange weather. Here in central Florida, an early winter blasted its way through last Autumn, bringing unusual freezing temps down in the low 20s. The farmers had a rough time of it. Then we had early hot weather this Spring, breaking records with the 90s in March!
Do you know what a staghorn fern looks like? Ours were a good 6-8 feet wide when the freezes hit. This is what happened after the awful blizzards made their way to Florida:
This is the east part of our front pasture, coated in ice. The grass matches the hues found in the hanging Spanish Moss and the gray dirt of the drive way coming up from the gate!
Normally, all that gray stuff is bright green (west front pasture)
I know these scenes are trivial compared to what most of you endured this past winter. Nevertheless, it severely impacts the wildlife (especially migrating species), the environment, and economic endeavors for the state.
Hoping you are doing well this spring. I am completely homebound except for doctor appointments. Wishing you Beauty, Love, and Patience always...

Your gnome cards are terrific.
I'm so sorry to see your staghorn fern in such a state - we lost a few palms in the weird weather too
Happy Sunday to you

Your monochromatic green cards are so adorable! Like your digital sentiment too, thanks for sharing it with us. Sorry you had so much weather damage.
I hate to see the havoc our changing climate wreaks, I don't think anyone escapes it to some degree or other. I do worry what the world will be like for future generations, they are the ones that will really pay the price.
On a more cheerful note, I love your beautifully designed gnome cards in all those gorgeous shades of green, my favourite colour- and I really admire your determination to continue doing what you love and finishing them despite your health issues.
hugs xxx
Hello, Donna E!!! Sorry to hear about some health issues delaying your creative time! Glad you were able to finish the cards recently! YEA! And thanks for sharing your yard photos documenting the cold freezing temps that you central Floridians suffered. Here in north central Illinois, we've been flinging up and down on a yoyo weather-wise!!! Very definitely crazy! 2 nights ago, a tornado missed us by turning E rather than NE between our town and another SW of us 10 miles away!! Glad it missed by 4-5 miles. Then after the storms, colder weather arrived and our high temps are only low-to-mid 40s! BRR. During the severe thunderstorms we were fluctuating between mid-50s-upper 60s with lots of humidity and strong winds. 75 mph winds! Back to your glorious green gnome cards!! They are all fantastic! I love seeing the little green heart in his beard and the gold glittery one below him!!! It's delightful to see how you changed the backgrounds and bases between the 5 cards! You'll be brightening up 5 households soon when you get these mailed! THANKS x 2 for sharing at HQCB #84 and also HQFantasy! We appreciate that!
It was worth the wait to see these cuties, and like you said they can be used any time of the year for sure. I had forgotten all about flocking, it worked great for his beard, and of course loving the glitter :). I still have my Martha stewart borders too, and still use them :) Like how you even did the clouds in green, so sweet!
So sad when the weather changes and kills things. A lot of our flowering trees, mainly magnolias were wiped out when we had a freeze after they had flowered, really bummed me out because I love those! Our weather has been a roller coaster of hot days and then very cold, I didn't pack away all my winter clothes this spring just in case and they have come in pretty handy.
Still praying for you, sending hugs!
How lovely to 'see' you Donna and what a lovely post. First I'll deal with your cards with the fun Gnome, they always raise a smile and lovely fresh green to compliment the season, so pleased you shared with us at Allsorts challenge.
Sorry the unpredictable weather has reached your usually warm climate, the weather World over now seems unpredictable, we are used to lots of rain and wind here in the UK bur seems to have had nothing but all Winter. And as we move into Spring and everything bursting into life the cold and frosts are back, this morning our garden looks much like your photos. I looked across to the orchard which is now in blossoms and wondered how these fronts will hit the fruit that would form from those blossoms. Nature can be stranger than strange at times.
Also sorry to read your pretty much housebound these days, ditto lately, again apart from doctor/hospital visits. Not been able to drive for ages due to left arm/neck issues and had more scans and MRI yesterday (yep, Sunday, our health service is playing catch up big time) ahead of spinal surgery they would like to do.
Keep your spirits up, I often think of you and it's nice to catch up and see you are still creating beautiful cards.

It might take me that long to finish these four detailed cards with all the coloring and glitter. They're amazingly cute and happy and I absolutely love them! Do you hear me honking? Gosh, it hurts my heart to see the devastation caused by the weather. Do your plants show any signs of recovery yet? Our state is getting less rain and snowpack every year it seems. That means more forest fires. I cry over the losses and I feel especially sad for the critters.
Fabulous cards, Donna. Gnomes are perfect for any time of year. Thank you for joining in the Allsorts Challenge.
Sorry that your garden has been affected so badly by the weather.

The shades of green you used are all so pretty along with the touches of sparkle and the cute image. Thanks for sharing with us at Allsorts challenge. So sorry to see the state of your lovely property.
How wonderful to see your sweet cards, even if it did take 5 months LOL. The winter killed my best Hibiscus and Butterfly Bush, which made me extremely sad but hey ho, time to go to Lowes for more! Take care dear friend. Thanks for joining in and sharing at The Inspiration Station and Paper Funday Challenges. We enjoy seeing all the creativity that's shared with us.
