A hearty September Fifteenth Welcome to you, my blogging friends, and my newest followers - Jackie, Christina, Marfa, Emmy, Anita, - and my latest friends from Bloglovin and other Readers!
May I introduce Clever Chloe by artist Sherri Baldy?
Some of the most amazing digi images are available at Scrapbook Stamp Society - from just way too cute, to beautifully realistic, and fabulous fantasies - so whatever you think you want (or don't know what you want, yet!) hop on over and see what's new.
Today I'm using the Clever Chloe partially-colored image to show how quick and easy cards can be assembled in no time! (Sorry the purple vines are showing up as black below - not sure why)
All the papers are older neglected items from my stash, and the card is a simple 5x7 fold, it came together so easily! Even though the coloring is the same in both images, the subtle shading around the Spellbinders dies changes the look.
Even the leaves are from two papers - a darker olive to provide a bit of drama. Chloe is sporting a nice cool seersucker sun dress because she is visiting us in very hot, humid Florida - it's the perfect attire!
Her headband, dress, ribbons on her shoes are all colored. Just the ruffle, glasses, flowers and buttons need a little touch up to customize your creation.
Have you noticed anything unusual about these two cards, considering who created them? If you can guess, your name will go into September's Blog Candy drawing. (remember, no need to follow my blog to win)
One last look at the twins:
Thanks for stopping by! The Blog Candy Drawing will be at the end of September.
Stamping hugs,
My blog is called "Creative Smiles" because my designs are the result of incorporating mistakes. With fumble fingers that drop whatever they are holding - repeatedly, it takes a lot of giggles, smiles and creative patience during my crafting process. xx

Absolutely loving both of these, De! Great paper choices and your flowers are wonderful embellies. Lovely color combo.
I admit I didn't think you had actually created these two cards because there is NO GLITTER to be seen anywhere! Are you having a bad day? Didn't sleep well last night? Running a fever? Whatever it is, I hope you get well soon. :-D Hugs.
Beautiful cards Donna. I don't own any digi stamps but I did check out the store in your link. I almost got one. They are all so very cute! TFS
Ha ha...I have to say that my first thought was, "Hey, no glitter!!" These are just adorable, glitter or not...thanks for sharing them!
Yes, me too - spotted straight away that there was no glitter! The image is so sweet that she doesn't need any extra sparkle. I love the pretty papers and gorgeous flowers too.
hugs Sue
Took me a moment or two to figure out why they weren't as sparkly as usual too! Gorgeous colouring, fab layout and colours.
I absolutely love the flowers and the curly vines too. Hope you are able to stay cool hugs Karen x
Oh de not only the images are gorgeous but what you have done with them is amazing , beautiful cards and your blog is lovely as always ..Lis
Both the cards are awesome and beautiful! But no glitter! LOL You always have your creations all blinged up with glitter. But in this case they look awesome without it too. But I can tell you that my idea of simple is nothing like these. These are very elegant and filled with lots of loveliness! Great artwork!
Where's the glitter, girlfriend? Precolored images, huh? And I was all set to compliment your coloring on those adorable dresses. Wonderful cards!
Hugs,
Debi
This are both beautiful Donna, such fabulous images and pretty papers. I love your die cut details and the pretty rows of pearls.
Even I noticed that there was no glitter, but I can see why you didn't add any, they are so soft and pretty they just don't need any.

Gorgeous creations as always - they are too young for glitter - let them get to Prom first! I personally was looking for a "fumble-fingered" boo-boo! But no!! Foiled instead!
The cards are gorgeous! I noticed that they were missing glitter and/or embossing powder but they were colored so good that they don't need glitter. You really blended the colors so nicely!

OMG, DE these creations are stunning, beautifully designed and colored. Lovin the embellies and especially the pearl border. simply stunning, where is the glitter. Besties must have a little bling.
Hugs my friend.
Two wonderful cards, but I can't find the special thing about it, is it the glitter that is missing??,The girls look so pretty in there beautifull dresses that they don't need to much glitter , the cards look fine the way they are!!!
Greetings
Maria

Like all of above ladies I also checked if its your blog and these are your cards as I didn't see any glitter also the dimension flowers I found different than usual(Though I am a recent follower!) .I just loved these cards..the use of patterned papers and the way you have colored the cute digi image wonderful !
What happened, Donna? Did your husband got sick of all the glitter everywhere and he hide the glitters and embossing powders away from you? What do you have to too, to get them back? A romantic dinner... massage...? If he wants you to change the oil of the car, don't bother. Your cards look fabulous without glitter too :)
Really gorgeous cards, Donna!
Hugs,
Eret
Donna they are adorable but then I love Besties. I guess this is your take on a CAS card and if so done to perfection. Love the pearls and the flower border die and the colours are just gorgeous.
Thank you for your lovely comments on my blog. Yes, I was very brave and added the Frantage after I coloured her in. There is two layers - I used the pink and added the chunky white for a second layer.
Have lovely week gorgeous lady.
Hugs Sharon. x
These are both gorgeous! Love how you colored her skin and customized the ruffles.
Oh my goodness, Donna, she is so sweet. Her eyes are wonderful and then the glasses....The row of pearls and lace are so pretty and go so well with this very cute image. Love them both, background papers were made for this.
Hugs
Sue
Where's the glitter? lol
Very cute cards. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful & sweet Twins! Love the vibrant colours! Awesome work as always:) I hope you are doing well, Shirleyx
Oh, Donna, these colorful, sweet, gorgeous beauties just fill my heart with joy! They light me right up! Instant happiness! Sometimes there's a particular combination of everything perfect that just does that to me, and these really do it. Now, I can't help but notice there's no glitter, but these sweeties don't need it. There's a softness amidst all that wonderful color that is just so sweet. Have I mentioned "sweet" enough times? I love the pretty pre-colored pattern on her outfit. Saves time and you still get to add your own fun to the image. So pretty!
Donna this is gorgeous and much more. Such a fabulous colour combination so bright and pretty. Love the image.
Because of seeing this I got totally sidetracked and did an impromptu post today. lol
Crafty hugs from Shirl x x
Both of these cards are beautiful - I like the comparison - so similar yet so different. I like how they were partially coloured and you finished it off - I would not have known - looks like everything is hand-coloured.
As for your candy question, I'm new here so I had to look back at several other blog posts. My answer is - not as sparkly as your other creations. I like your blog and I'm now following you - thank you!

What a fabulous rainbow of colours Donna, not that I do much colouring in but if I did I would never have thought of giving that sweet image such eye catching treatment.

NO GLITTER???? Let me talk to that glitter fairy. I am so sorry she did not make it to your house this week. She delivered a truck load of amazing colors at my house and must have ran out!!!! lol These cards are just so super cute. The images just melt your heart. They are simply adorable. Love the rainbow dresses. Now go get your glitter and sprinkle some happiness!!!!
Bear Hugs,
Carol

Hello Sunshine Donna,
Even though these two beauties are sans glitter, they still sparkle... Loving the colours here. So very pretty and the flowers and flourishes looks so becoming. Chloe is so cute.

Beautiful cards! I love Sherri's artwork and own one of her actual stamps that I just purchased recently! She is so talented! Your cards are super sweet even without the extra sparkle of glitter! :)
Adorable cards Donna....and yes, I think your vacuum broke therefore no glitter! Thank you so much for the lovely comments you leave on my blog...you have a wonderful way with words. hugs, Pat K xx
Hi Donna, these are gorgeous. Love the image and the colours you chose work together so well. Love the border.
Hugs Sue W.
Donna, these are sooooo cute! I love the wonderful colors you used. great job! Love them.
These are gorgeous Donna! My first thought was that there was nothing at all strange or unusual, so I took another look and it only took a few seconds to realize that there is nothing sparkly!! No glittery embossing powders?? They look stunning just the same :) The image is so sweet and the colours are so fun and summery (which is really nice at this time of year!). Gorgeous dies and rolled roses.
Hugs, Dawn
So cute! Love her big eyes and very detailed dress - you did a good job on the parts you colored and shaded and I like the flowers and use of old papers. Well done and very cute cards! Hugz!
I am such a dork...I was looking and looking to see what the difference was between the two(of which I am terrible about spotting differences LOL) but I then had to call Uncle and come peek because I could not spot any difference. Silly meeeeee.....
Super cute little chics! Love her rainbow dress! Thanks for popping in to say Hello today!
This is gorgeous Donna. Love the shabby feel of the crads.

Hallo liebe Donna,
