My blog is called "Creative Smiles" because my designs are the result of incorporating mistakes. With fumble fingers that drop whatever they are holding - repeatedly, it takes a lot of giggles, smiles and creative patience during my crafting process. xx

Nothing Says It Better Than Chocolate

YAY!!! I made another card! Even better... I didn't have to read any directions this time! LOL -- AND... I used my little Janome Sew Mini again!

Happiness is found in the little things in life, like having some control over one's hands, and being able to sit up without support.

I was especially inspired this week by the House Mouse and Friends Challenge Blog.

It is all about ATC Turnabouts. An ATC Turnabout is taking your finished ATC and placing it on a card.

The ATC was created using the House Mouse "Chocolate Delight" image. It was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and the solvent blender marker also by Prismacolor.

My card is also detailed using the Unscripted Sketches Challenge #180 Sketch.

All the Challenge links to which this card is submitted are shown below.

Here is a close-up of the Green Nugget Glitter. The base of the card is done in ivory CS. One-half inch double sided Tear-ific Tape was applied to the far right edge. The protective layer was then pulled off, exposing the ultra stickiness. Next the the sewn together background pieces were adhered, carefully lining up the punched border with the Tear-ific tape.

After the base layer was attached, the glitter was spooned on, and burnished. I like using wax paper for burnishing, unlike naked fingers, because it slides right over intricately-cut borders and die cuts.

My fingers dropped the ATC when applying it to the background, making it crooked. I tried masking that problem with hand-made flowers in the bottom left corner. LOL

Challenges this card is submitted to are:

Products used in this project include:

Sparkle N Sprinkle Green Nugget Glitter G1065
1/2" Tear-ific Tape by SNS
Chocolate Delight with Maxwell, Amanda, Mudpie (HMJR1069)

Love that House Mouse stamp, Donna! Too cute. This is a fabulous card, and I think it should have been a candy bar wrap. Then you could send it to me and I've love it even more, as I munched the chocolate. :-D Hugs, my friend.

Lovely card. You can't go wrong with purple and green. This image is adorable and you did a wonderful coloring job with it. I really like the sparkle and flowers. Your stitching is very nice (I don't have enough nerve to try it). I don't think anyone, including myself, would have noticed that your image was not completely straight. You did a great job of hiding what you think was a boo boo. I still can't see a problem with it. Enjoy your week.

What a "sweet" card. I love all the different textures of card stock design you used. Your handmade flowers are really pretty and really look great with your swirly leaves!! You should have saved this card til Saturday, it's Sweetest Day and it would have been perfect for that celebration.
