AMAZINGLY-Fancy Folds Blog Hop

Hi! Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle Amazingly-Fancy Folds Blog Hop, where you will see some imaginative designs, and have a chance at winning great prizes. If you did not arrive here by way of the incredibly talented Cammy Vietzke, you may wish to start at the SNS Home Blog, where prize details are explained - multiple prizes are being given away with winners being announced on Monday, January 21. You are cordially invited to visit all the designers' blogs:
Donna Ellis (you are here) - and Keri Brown.

First, a brief word from our sponsors (LOL)

(to view another booklet made with this template, please click here)

To view this month's SNS specials just click here.

We now return to our regularly scheduled program:

I know what you're thinking -- "that doesn't look so fancy"  but I promise it's a bit fancy.

It all started with Kelly Gettelfinger's YouTube video creating something she called a "Waterfall Mini Album".

(thanks for the great idea, Kelly).

Kelly's mini album looked like it would make an interesting card! (and it does)

Please click on any of the photos to enlarge details.

Start with one piece of
12" x 12" cardstock
For a complete tutorial in creating this card/album base,

The booklet/mini album can be designed very simply, or with more intricate embellishments.
Either way, it is fun to make!

The folded card booklet measures 3" x 4".
Let's untie it.

The spine on this embellished version is 1/2"

Turn the first "accordion folded" page.
The accordion folds are what create the "waterfall" feature.

Below are columns 1 and 2, still folded up.

..

Pull down on the first column and see the strip facing the front cover:

Top Panel of Column 1
Panel is dry embossed and brushed with
Lavender Pearlescent Brilliance Ink
Butterfly enhanced with Eggplant Glitter:

Center Panel of Column 1
Photo Corners also with Eggplant Glitter:

Bottom Panel of Column 1:
Pearl Stickers had the tacky adhesive which shows through.
Tip: Sprinkle glitter on top of your rhinestone and pearl stickers
to cover the clear adhesive between jewels.

Turn the now-opened Column One to the back side:

Back Side of Column 1 revealed
and
Closed front of Column 2 shown:

Top of Back Side of Column 1:
Tip: Staz-on inks actually look more vibrant when stamped on top of Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter.

Middle Panel of Back Side of Column 1:
Circle behind Eggplant Glitter Circle is embellished with Parisian Mist Glitter.
The green photo corners were covered with transparent Starfire glitter.

Bottom Panel of Back Side of Column 1
Starfire Glitter on edges, Cloud Nine under inked sentiment:

Pull down the Waterfall feature for Column Two:

Front Top for Column Two
Parisian Mist glitter in adhesive behind lace and on the adhesive of
the pearl flourish sticker:

Middle Panel for Column Two
Transparent Starfire Glitter on edge of hummer panel:

Bottom Panel for Column Two:

This is the back side of Column Two, which is also the back side of the Waterfall Booklet.

I hope you enjoyed the ideas in this project
and the SNS Fancy Folds Blog Hop.
