Shaped Cards at Back to the Basics and Beyond Challenge

Hello -- I'm so happy you are here!


 There's nothing like a pretty vase of flowers to brighten someone's day.

Today, it's time for a brand new Back to Basics and Beyond Challenge!



For the next two weeks, join us by uploading an "Anything-Goes" project as long as a shaped card (as opposed to square/rectangle) is used. 

 The team has all kinds of inspiration and a variety of styles to view, so take a look! Hope to see yours there.

It's a simple style card with a Copic/PrismaColor image, a glittery frame, and a same-shape card fold. I gave SNS the right to sell the colored image, however, I could not locate a link for you. To make the fold:



Then glue the top "full piece" onto the hinged section:
(not sure why the color change - other than my iPhone took the below photo and my iPad took all the others)





The sentiment is cut out of vellum and heat embossed with Gold Detail EP:



The frame was made using 2 of Spellbinders Grand Labels Four dies and cut out. Then using Golden Meadow VersaFine Clair Ink on the frame, I dredged with Gold Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. It is glued on top of the white image panel:

    Oooh, that's a gorgeous Bugaboo and you know how I love them! I haven't seen this one as I'm trying not to look until I color all my not yet used Bugaboos. You've done a stellar job on this, and interesting how you did the fold. It sure makes a pretty shaped card!

    Hi Donna, Such a pretty card.

    Thanks for leaving your comment on my blog. My holidays are all in the county I live in (Norfolk) and all dog friendly, with no extra charge for dogs. I go with my friend Hilary and her dogs. v there will be three Greyhounds and one Pointer. We used the holiday firm for the first time last July, when we had a converted barn. The one we go to in March is a brand new barn convertion, with a hot tub.
    Not that we will use that. then in october we go back to the barn we went to last year. Next year we are going to a huge barn conversion and then then back to our favourite barn in october. Going the months we do, we can afford to go twice in the same year.

    Oh, this is the perfect card as we enter the new year and soon leave winter behind! I always forget to use my large label dies to make a shaped card so this is a great reminder and tutorial on how to do that. Love the floral design and glittery frame! Happy 2019 to you Donna.
