Hi! I have a just for fun card this afternoon.
It's about The Consequences of Eating Too Much Candy - A House Mouse Halloween Tale
The image is quite large - I was surprised at 4"x5".
I colored with Coppic Markers, Prismacolor Pencils, and distressed with inks.

The Pea Nut Gallery portion of my stamp room began rumbling and grumbling again due to neglect! So out came the House Mouse box to discover which of the images was crying the most for neglect.
It was this virginal Mud Pie Tale rubber stamp I've owned for 2 years? 3 years? 4 years? I cannot recall when it was purchased, but last summer, as I colored it, and thought it could be either BACK TO SCHOOL or HALLOWEEN - trying to educate the wee mice on the consequences of eating too many sweets.
I want to play in Retro Rubber's "Boo!" Challenge.
But I'm not positive how old the stamp is - poor memory. It is well over a year old however.Too Cute! It's actually versatile image.
(Psst! My favorite part is at the far left - all you can see is a curled tale of someone sneaking candy, more than likely!)

ReplyDeleteThis is too cute, Donna. I love your coloring and those jack-o-lanterns at the bottom -- I wish I had held onto my edge punches after seeing them on your cards. You always combine punches with dies and stamps on your cards and I love that look. I especially like your "Halloweenie Hugs" at the end. I have to use that on my cards from now on.

I'm sorry, I don't understand the phrase "eating too much candy"!! Is that even possible?? Heehee, just kidding :) This is spectacular, my friend!! Those little mice are so sweet!! OMG, that's the cutest thing ever, Donna! I feel like I want to turn the page and read the rest of the story, but it looks like he might be throwing up on that second page, so I'm fairly certain of the outcome. I completely adore this! How cute they are sitting there with their candles and, yes, looks like someone might be sneaking a treat back there behind the book. Gosh, this is so adorable!!! I love it as a Halloween card. Cute Jack-o-lantern punch!

Ohh!! I adore the House Mouse siblings, they are always doing something sweet. This is an amazing card, the scene is beautifully colored and framed.

hahaha that would be me, the one on the far left....shhhh (I actually have a 'secret' chocolate drawer in the kitchen which I don't think the Hubby knows about....but soon Penny will lol) I love your coloring of this large fabulous image and how you displayed it.
