All kinds of Sparkle:

I colored the mermaid and her water with Copic Markers.
If purchasing the Tropical Mermaid Alana Digital Set, you will receive this colored image, as well as a white background with colored image.
Alana is accompanied by two sweet sentiments, a little scallop shell, and a darling starfish in both rubber and digital formats:

A close up of the embossing powders:

White Detail on the sentiment (on dark teal cardstock).
Mediterranean Star on the frame (white cardstock).
Mediterranean Star on the orange cardstock (different colors of paper change the look of the EP).
Mediterranean Star on the starfish (on white cardstock)

I have also used this versatile stamp for the background, embossed with Mediterranean Star embossing powder (sigh - I love this stamp):

ON A PERSONAL NOTE:

Here are two more photos of what happens when the "fire season" drought ends in central, rural Florida, and rains grace our environment once again:

Wild Morning Glories spring up! Apologies for the shaky hands:

I love their vibrant, purply-magenta throats and their pure white petals!
We cannot grow "regular" Morning Glories here. Only the wild, indigenous flowers make it through the drought, and spring forth in the steamy Florida summers.

Aren't they so delicate and sweet?

stamping hugs,

(I see you!)

  37. WOW! Love the Mediterranean Star EP with the orange. Very beautiful color combination. Embossed flourish background works very well with Alana. So gorgeous card with beautiful details.
About the Morning Glories... I'm so jealous.. How they can have so pretty name in English while in Estonan they are called 'kassitapp'. Direct translation is 'catkill'... I love their blooms but because of their name I have always had mixed feelings about them.

  47. Fantastic! You're so amazing with the details, Donna. I look and look and wonder how I can add more interesting things to my cards... but then other times I wish I could just go clean and simple. I love it all! The wired ribbon is perfect for this and, yes, I do see the starfish. Your morning glories are so pretty, too. We have them climbing wild all over here. Ours are pure white. We have to keep them out of the yard and garden, though, or they'll take over.

  59. I am not sure I regard those wild flowers as "sweet" when they invade my garden and strangle everything 🙃 Having said that I do like to see them in the roadside hedges, and if that is all that will grow, I guess I would be grateful for them 🙃 Love the quote on your card. 62. Hello dearest Donna,

I was yearning to connect via email but then after surfing the reading list, I spotted this lovely entry and had to comment. The morning glories are simply lovely. I too love photographing flowers and often put them on facebook, rather post them on facebook. I like the magenta throats. Magenta is an amazing colour - so vibrant and very definite.

Now to your card - the sentiment is lovely and so is the rest of the card. Your cards speak volumes of your talent.

My initiative is doing well and our last session was on laughter yoga and we had as many as 16 participants. It was fun to laugh like a baby or a child... Now the next step is to expand my initiative.

    Lots of love,

    Monica
