Here Come The Boys Challenge

A quick A2-size card to say hello to my dad. He likes things without any embellishments - do you find that difficult?

It is also difficult for me to make A2 size cards.

I'm trying to get into the CAS mode. Hope it happens soon. LOL

It's a card within a card, so the front opens with a little "classic message" and the inside, too, for a little note.

In my stash of Miscellaneous Things (which I'm trying to use up) were these older postage stamps.

Do these only count as SEMI-embellishments? They are sorta classic, too.

Just like my dad, who will be 86 shortly.

This is for the "Here Come The Boys Challenge" using their picture inspiration.



Products used:
Spellbinders Labels Eight for the mini card
Spellbinders Labels One for the layering
Cardstock: SU DP, navy, white, blue
Ink: Cloud blue dye base, navy dye base
Stamps: Just for Fun

    What a fantastic interpretation of the inspiration photo, Donna! I don't know whether the stamps are embellishments or not but they are perfect on this card. What if we say that since they lie flat and don't have any dimension to them. they aren't embellishments? Love, love, LOVE those classic cars.

    Great Card Donna. Love the postage stamps on it. They're flat, they don't have glitter, they don't count as embellishments, just layers.
    I like the card within a card idea. If my craft table wasn't cleaned off, I'd go try one right now! Nice job.

    How perfectly sweet for your Dad. I love the stamp embellishment. CAS is the rage right now (I can see why with the new increase in postal rates...lol) and so difficult for me. But I have seen some incredibly beautiful cards.
