Friends are like Fine Wine {Sparkle N Sprinkle}

Hello, Blogging Friends! Welcome to today's fruitful post. I hope you enjoy it.

Featuring the pretty Wine Tableau stamp set, the sentiments are perfect for most all-occasion greetings.

republished from 12-27-11
It's a gorgeous stamp set by artist Rosiland Solomon. Lovely sayings made it impossible to choose just one for my card, so I slightly altered the oval triplet aspect of the sketch to rectangles, accommodating as many of the sayings as possible.

Stunning and easy to color, these images avail themselves to any coloring medium! Are you wondering why the background of the image seems muted? It's stamped on kraft cardstock, outlined with white Prismacolor pencil.

This time I used yet another neglected art supply. High on the top shelf the Derwent Water Color Pencils were "whining" (sorry, couldn't resist the play on words). Popped open the large tin of beautiful colors, and decided to make things easy by using a blender pen instead of water for control on kraft cardstock.

The image is heat embossed with Cerulean embossing powder, part of the Shades and Stars of Tuscany EP collection.

A strip of ribbon is shown on each panel - one with a strip of Tear-ific Tape holding Navy Glitter. Clear EP has been applied to the cheese knife, wine glass, vase and wine bottle.

Donna, What a fabulouso card. I really like the soft coloring with the water color pencils. I like the way you used the badge die to create the window in the French farm house. I have visited that winery. The kraft paper back ground, superb!

Such incredible coloring, Donna! Perfect use of pencil. Wonderful dp, too. I've had no time to do anything for the SnS sketch challenge this month and am nearly out of time. I guess I'll have to save it for January. I really needed a break to just do family for the holidays. But I have new stamp sets from SnS for next challenge so that'll inspire me. :-D

Good to see you back posting your creations, Donna. I've missed you. Beautiful coloring and layout. I thought the stamp was cut out to look like a cloche which would also be appropriate to keep all the food under. Lovely colors!

This is a beautiful card, De. I love that you used your neglected pencils. One of the advantages of my disorganization is I'm always having surprising discoveries of neglected supplies. It's almost like going shopping to use something that hasn't been used in awhile. Great job, as usual. :-)

Well, now, that's interesting how you used watercolor pencils with a blender pen on kraft! With the moon showing through the window the whole effect is as though it's the remnants of a wine and cheese evening left out after everyone went to bed. Someone should have put the cheese away, though. Really, Donna, it's beautiful! The selectively applied gloss is a very special detail. Great use of the sketch, too, with the sentiments down the side. A good sketch is worth a return visit. It's so lovely to see a card from you today. I love it when you stamp!

This is so gorgeous Donna. Gorgeous muted tones. Awesome way you have laid out the sentiments. It is so lovely to see you posting again my friend. I didn't email as I didn't want to put you under pressure to reply.
Bit confused sweetie as some of the comments on your card are showing 2011 & 2012.

Beautiful coloring on the kraft Donna, I have yet to try using a blender pen, I need to start a list of things to try, I always seem to forget once I get in my craft room. Like the shape you chose to cut the image, neat texture behind it also!
Wishing you a lovely Easter!

Beautiful card Donna, the quotes are especially wonderful. I hope you are doing well in your wonderful sunny paradise :) It's been a chilly spring so far here, eventually it will arrive. Still too cold to work outside and we are still waiting for landscapers to finish some work. Take good care, Hugsxx

Hi Donna, Happy April to you. I hope things are well with you. What a sweet fruity card this is. I really like those sentiments! And is the Cerulean embossing powder a new brand? I’ve never heard of it before. I have the Rangers and Hero Arts ones and still have a good amount as I don’t embossed often. But I still looking for a good white one for those fine detail and small sentiments. How is this Cerulean in comparison to Rangers and Hero Arts? I wish you and your hubby a lovely new month and may the Lord’s blessings filled your home this Easter Sunday and every day Donna. Take care. Hugs.
