Stella Happy Meds {Sparkle N Sprinkle}

Hello, dear blogging friends!
Today I have a silly, fun card suitable for:

thinking of you
older birthday
get well
support through a long illness

Anyone familiar with Jodie Mackrell knows that Stella is one of her favorite characters.
Sparkle N Sprinkle fell in love with Stella's unique form of snarkiness and encouragement, and turned this fun image into a rubber stamp set.

Card Size:
5.5" x 7.5" (A7 American)

Colored with Copic Markers, and framed in orange and aqua, a little "Sparkle EP" was added on the doilies and frame for visual interest.

If you enjoy watercolors, embossing this with black detail EP and then watering down brilliant colors in the background and on the jar images, this would be an easy coloring job, too!

Punched with a retired MS punch, the aqua paper was also dry embossed with dotted EF and shmooshed with Brilliance ink.

Putting it all askew is just "typically Stella" (giggle).

Copic Markers

On a Personal Note:

As mentioned in a previous post, we are in our "wild fire season" in Florida.
Unfortunately, a wild fire broke out close by yesterday, and our clear, fresh air now is laden with ash and smoke. Combining with the heavy layers of pollen everywhere, the smoke and ash is sticking to everything. SO GRATEFUL for the air conditioning.

We live just outside of the Withalacoochee (With-a-la-coo-chee) Forest, so we will see more than the average number of wildlife temporarily, and will keep the water buckets full so they can drink.

Floridians are looking forward to our rainy season, but we must always be careful what we wish for, right? Here is a headline you may find interesting, with over 100 wildfires being fought throughout the state as of April 10, 2017. I know many of you live in areas prone to fires as well. They ARE necessary for the Florida ecology, but just not pleasant - I guess kind of like having to choose to let a surgeon perform a necessary surgery?

Thanks for visiting today!

Your card is so cute, Donna! We sometimes get forest fires here in Quebec, and they can be extremely hazardous. Air conditioning is a definite asset. Take care!

Funny card, Donna - I love Stella's snarkiness! The die cut and embossed layers add a lovely touch.
Those fires may be necessary for the ecology, but they look so dangerous for both wildlife and humans - hope you and your close ones stay safe! x

First, your card sure put a smile on my face and gave me a laugh out loud moment this morning. How fun is Stella and the sentiment, hilarious.
Second, those pictures are unbelievable. How scary and the loss of wildlife is sad to think about. Lots of babies in the Spring, and hard to think about these animals being caught up in these fires.

Fun card my friend, just what I need to get me started today.

Oh, yes, I have this one as a digi. LOVE it! It's printed, but not yet colored. I plan to send it to a friend at my former work place. I have a couple of Stellas for her, in fact. Your card is awesome! Love her purple hair! You've got me all inspired now.

Those fires are a frightening sight when they get so close. I hope you're still safe in your home. Good for you putting out extra water. I wonder how many people think of that?

Magnificent and terribly funny card, Donna! Love the sparkle. I have been thinking about you with each news report about the Florida fires and hoping they weren't dangerously close to you and yours. Looks like they are practically in your back yard from the photos. Keeping you in prayers, my friend.

A great smooshed background, with a wonderfully intricate die shape. Had to laugh at the image too! Be safe with the fires, and hope it's not bothering anyone's breathing. That can be so horrible, and also for the wildlife. Thanks for putting some welcome water out for them. Hugs & TFS

Love your fun card it made me smile :) I have family in Southwest Florida and the fires have been a big concern this winter. It's sad when you can't go outside and everything is covered in soot. How wonderful you leave buckets of water for the wildlife. I hope the rain this weekend puts out the fires. Take care, Hugs, Shirleyxx
