My blog is called "Creative Smiles" because my designs are the result of incorporating mistakes. With fumble fingers that drop whatever they are holding - repeatedly, it takes a lot of giggles, smiles and creative patience during my crafting process. xx

{Crafts Galore Encore}{Christina Hor Memories Crafter}

Hello, sweet crafting friends!
It is time for the May Crafts Galore Encore Challenge!

The Rules to the Challenge are easy!
Just create your projects (using any crafting medium) according to this month's theme, and link your blog posts directly to the linky on the CGE Challenge site!
This month's challenge theme is

"Anything Goes"

Our Sponsor this month is Di's Digital Stamps.

My images are freebies from
Christina Hor's Digi Arts for Healing at Memories Crafter!

The first card is for a sweet friend who has been diligently caring for her Mom the past several years, who sadly suffers from Alzheimer's Disease. This year it was time to find a professional home for her Mom, and my friend has begun making doctor appointments for herself, only to learn she has breast cancer. So this sweet card is going her way - she loves children and has such infinite patience with them. It seems only fitting that Christina's "Arts for Healing" should be used.

Colored with Copics on Express-It Paper.  Computer-Generated Sentiment.
This is one of the very few A2 size cards I've made over the years.

My next card is for a blogging friend who lives and breathes Kindness and Generosity.
I met her through Sparkle N Sprinkle's Bingo Games and Blog Hops.
This year she has learned her husband is in early stages of Alzheimer's Disease.
Instead of being upset that they cannot do the things they had planned on, she is busy developing plans to help maintain her husband's dignity, while striving to help manage his health.
She is one of the most beautiful women I've ever met.

The image is flipped and the little girl is sporting pink hair:

She really is the sweetest image Donna and I am very much liking the idea of pink hair, if only I dare, wonder what the children would say ? Loving the hot pinks, they make for a lovely summery feel.

Can't believe you have beans so early, ours are barely through the ground.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Hallo liebe Donna,
Hugs Silvi

Lovely cards made for persons seeming to deserve and need them.
Your use of dies is so inspiring. You use them as embellishments and not only for cutting, they're an important detail of your design style and I think you're so creative using them. Keep up the good work!

Lovely cards for such a wonderful purpose, Donna. You are truly a rock of support to your friends. :-D
I'm jealous of your early green beans, mostly because I didn't get a garden planted this year. Ah, well, maybe next spring.

What a beautiful card you created for your friend who is going through all those issues. I know this will be a big comfort to her. And, your beans look so yummy! Nothing like fresh from the garden, but I must say mine that I froze and that we are still eating on from last year's garden do taste mighty good too! You have a good week now.

Wow!! What an incredible design you've made here Donna!! I just love how you've made it look like a picture hanging!! The scene inside the elegant oval frame is so cute with that little girl and your coloring looks amazing too!! I especially love the touches of glitter! :) You have green beans already?! Wow...we haven't even been able to begin our garden yet! I hope we have a crop that looks as good as yours! :) HUGS

These two cards are going to be the bright spots in your friends' days. I always love to know that the cards we make are being sent. When someone cares enough to send a card, it matters, and it's wonderful to receive them for any little reason or for no reason at all. These are both so very pretty and cheerful. Love the sentiments you created for each. Good on you, Donna, and enjoy your harvest!

Such pretty cards Donna, a sweet image and lovely pinks - both designs are fabulous but I especially like the oval card, I really must try to make more different shaped cards.
Our Green Beans are just beginning to shoot in the cold frame, it will be a while before we get our first harvest!
