Think Green! {Scrapy Land} {Christina Hor}

Green Greetings to all my Sweet Crafty Friends!
Welcome to Scrapy Land Challenge #38
and
a special introduction to a VERY special digital talent AND free gift-for-you from
Christina Hor's Digi Arts for Healing!

Today, I'm wishing you all things beautifully green...

(psst! that means full of Abundant Life - your own personal internal SPRING!)

May everything within your sights, sounds and smells remind you of the preciousness, loveliness and incredible-ness of YOU!

Theme: Think Green! (St. Patrick's Day) + Using Die Cut brands sold by Scrapy Land
Up for grabs is a $15 gift card to the Scrapy Land Store, and several badge opportunities, as well.
We love being inspired by your pretty cards submitted to our challenges.
You have until April 3 to submit your pretties!

My cards use the following Scrapy Land Products:

My first card uses:
Sketchy Colors #267 - Use Sketch

Instead of a single layer, I used the scallop squares. Brushable Glue was applied to the outside of the golden squares so SNS Starfire glitter could be applied before adhering the green scallops. The glitter provides a sparkly contrast that looks great in person! Even the oval frame has been brushed with glue and more glitter on it, too.

Here's a close up of Christina's darling digitals.  The little girl is one digital image, and the fenced tree scene is a separate digital. These are a freebies!  They are available on her blog Memories Crafter.

Christina Hor's Digi Arts of Healing
Don't you love the sweet
Die-namites die cut bird house and bird?
It is part of a larger border. Cuts BEAUTIFULLY!

This card is 5x7
I really love the Spellbinders Card Creator dies for 5x7 cards.
The pale green die cut is one of the Imperial Gold dies.

Hanging my head in shame -
all this printed paper (DCWV) is over 10 years old!

The card interiors have the same sentiment:

Now it's your turn!
We always look forward to seeing your beautiful projects at:

Scrapy Land Products Used:
Other Products Used:

  • Christina Hor's Digi Arts of Healing -  "Sending Hugs" and "Fenced Tree"
  • Sparkle N Sprinkle Starfire Glitter G1017, Brushable Glue, stitched pleated ribbon, lace
  • Copic Markers, dyed tulle, several dye-based inks
  • DCWV virginal papers - very old - like TEN YEARS PLUS! LOL (hanging head in shame). They were purchased at Joanns before we had papercrafting stores in the area.

Such pretty cards. The little girl and the fenced tree digis are adorable. Love how you put the rainbow in there to coordinate perfectly with the sentiments on the inside. Of course your die cut layers are beautiful with all the gorgeous greens. The ribbon and lace along with the little bird box on the first card are the perfect finishing touches!

Love the dimension but I think it needs a little more green. (Hee,Hee) Darling card. Love the die cuts you used and the papers as well -especially the plaid! Has a cool "kilty"look. Love the inking you did on the sentiment. Oh and the sentiment is cool too! The coloring you did is lovely and I DO appreciate the glitter goodness as well. The diecut bird house ARE cute. Did you fussy cut the tree foliage? Love the effect. Well done, my friend and Happy St. Patrick's Day to you.

That is the cutest green kitchen I've ever seen Donna but food prepping might be a challenge if the menu calls for anything green! Haahaa.

Oh I just adore every little details on both of your cards and fit St Patrick Day so stunningly with all the different fun green color scheme! What a beautiful scene you've created merging the two images together with the breathtaking rainbow background! Your coloring is amazing! How you did the tree with the bird house is cleverly and beautifully executed. And that green hair! Haahaa. What a fun playful personality you gave my little girl. She is adorable in her sleeveless, glittering dress. The inside sentiments are so beautiful and love all the decorative dies!

Oh you do gorgeous work Donna. Seeing your cards is like finding a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. And thank you so much for the shout out of my digis Donna. I'm very grateful. Thank you also for the awesome blogger tip tutorial on enabling reply by e-mail. May you and your family have a lovely and blessed St Patrick Day and week Donna. - Hugs, Christina

What a simply adorable scene and good for you using that old DCWV paper! I have papers that are even older than 10 years old, and I still hope to use them some day. Your creative little scene makes those old papers look new again!

Oh, my goodness, look at that green kitchen! So cool! And pretty green hair on your first image. Oh, I have lots of that old paper, too. Absolutely beautiful use of the dies, Donna, and I LOVE all the green. I wanted that birdhouses die but went with something else instead. Love that one, though, and so clever to use just one. Your rainbow is beautiful in each image. Wow!

Now THIS is green! Love the rainbow in the motif, the tree foliage, and of course all the luscious layers you've tucked here & there to enhance the pretty image. Especially liking the ruched lace trim too. That fancy mat in the crisp white certainly sets off the paler green embossed matting, and love the green plaid combined with the polka dot ribbon. Great work with the different patterns. When I saw the inside treatment, I'll have to say the verse is my favorite part of all this beautiful card. What a perfectly wonderful sentiment in a special card to someone. Love it! All of it! TFS & have a wonderful week.

Hi Donna, love your little lass! Lots of green goodness here in this little scene you created. Lots of dies too and all beautiful.

It was snowing for a while, but the sun came up and it's crisp, but nice out now. Pup had a nice walk, but then with her fur she prefers the cold!!
