My blog is called "Creative Smiles" because my designs are the result of incorporating mistakes. With fumble fingers that drop whatever they are holding - repeatedly, it takes a lot of giggles, smiles and creative patience during my crafting process. xx

Mistletoe and Bells {Scrapy Land #9}

Hi, Everyone! I made two "flat" cards! Yippee! (and I said it could not be done)

Welcome to my project for the 9th Scrapy Land Challenge!
and to new follower Karen

The Challenge is open until January 18.
The theme is "ANYTHING GOES using any die manufacturer which Scrapy Land sells" (electronic die cuts do not qualify)Scrapy Land sells over 40 brands of dies, including overseas products, and most are at a great discount.
  plus free shipping over $45!

My cards feature the Impression Obsession Mistletoe and Bells die cut available at Scrapy Land.
Below, using gold glossy cardstock and accented with gold glitter:
A very simple flat card made with a distress panel and other die cuts and punches for interest:

Below is a triple panel version using old, old coordinating KandCompany designer papers.
This card will cost only one stamp to mail:
Inside:
The gold glossy cardstock is so pretty, and looks great with the Sparkle N Sprinkle Celestial Glitter G1031 (another virginal product bites the dust! giggle)
I hope you have enjoyed my two flat cards! Now let's see what you come up with for the "ANYTHING GOES using any die manufacturer which Scrapy Land sellsChallenge!

Products Used:

Scrapy Land - Impression Obsession Mistletoe and Bells
Spellbinders Scalloped Oval - Small Petite S4-141

Gorgeous Donna. Really loving that little bell die. The distressing and the papers you've used give it a Victorian feel.

Like you I find one layer cards difficult unless they are inky ones, but both of these look great and lush rich colours on both.

Well, first of all, I love the Mistletoe and Bells die -- so pretty! Now, gorgeous papers and layouts for your FLAT (yippee!) cards! They can be such a challenge, but these want for nothing. Love the distressing on the one card, and I always love a three panel layout. Don't know what it is about it, but they really appeal to me. The gold glitter on the gold bells is a beautiful touch!

Oh, I struggle to do flat cards, Donna - always want to pop everything on foam dots LOL!!!! - but you have really done a great job with keeping these two cards flat!!!! I love the pretty mistletoe and bells die and with the added glitter it is even more stunning!!!! Love the idea of the three panels on the first card and the distressing on the other!!! So beautiful and festive, Donna!!!!

deine Karten gefallen mir sehr gut.

I love your flat cards Donna, they are very beautiful , and very easy to send to somebody. When I started with my hobby about 4 years ago , I wanted to make scrapcards with flowers, they were very pretty, very expensive and impossible to get on there destination without damage, therefore I now make flat cards, or olmost flat cards all the time, and people like them more!!!

Greetings
Maria

Yay for you having created a one stamp card, that is still so pretty & has such visual impact. I saw the die you used, and said "Why didn't I think to do something like this?". I have that die (NBUS) and you've shown it to tremendous impact on both cards. I really liked the scallop glitter frame around the diecut as you did this. TFS & Big hugs. Happy weekend. Off to see the earlier post that I missed.

Fabulous Donna, this card is just amazing. I love what you did with the die cut. A triple panel card is so creative and the inside sentiment is just beautiful. I love all the layers of designer papers. The gold and a nice touch and really set off.
