My blog is called "Creative Smiles" because my designs are the result of incorporating mistakes. With fumble fingers that drop whatever they are holding - repeatedly, it takes a lot of giggles, smiles and creative patience during my crafting process. xx

Just Because

(Clear It Out Challenge 12-2014)
Sign up for

A "just because" card.
The colors are not showing up correctly - especially the greens should be more pastel.
We are overcast today and I could not achieve the true colors in photographing :-(

I promise! It started out FLAT.

But I could not escape myself.

The rose cried out, sobbing hysterically to be used.

I could not refuse.

Love the creamy dreamy Embossing Powder. Even though it is not "detail" powder, the Cosmic line works really well on detail images.

Now my card is not flat for mailing.
Sigh.
(giggles)

psssst!
The solid green cardstock is actually more the color found in the patterned paper on top.

Don't forget my March blog candy
It's a great gift certificate to a wonderful on-line shop!

A gorgeous card and I sure don't blame you for using that pretty rose. It's a wonderful addition.

Look like the azaleas are blooming in your yard...very pretty.

It went from 75 degrees here yesterday to 48 today. Yuck! No azeleas blooming here...just daffodils and maybe my crocus. I'll have to check.

Donna this is absolutely stunning! I so love the contrasting greens with the pink tones. I think that helps to make the card more attractive along with the lace and bling and other elements. And, adding the rose was a perfect addition too. Thanks for sharing your talents again!

First let me say that I just love your new blog banner. So springlike.
The card is magnificent! That lace is incredible and the rose, despite that it means the card isn't envelope-friendly, is a fabulous embellishment for this card. Loving the pink and green combo and I'm so impressed with your perfect stitching. Finally, thanks for playing along at Tuesday Throwdown this week, my friend.

Oooh, isn't that pretty! I'm just in love with the tulle you so frequently use on your cards. The designer paper is just lovely. Isn't it funny how it photographed correctly but not the cardstock? Camera tricks! The lace is simply gorgeous, and I'm so glad you stilled the sobbing of the poor little rose. It looks so happy now! It's wonderful to see that peek of spring in your photograph, too. We had another beautiful day Sunday, but raining again today. That's okay. I have one azalea with big pink buds showing, lots of green popping out. Lovely!
